Our new favorite place to grab lunch/dinner in Astoria! Food is delicious with extremely high quality ingredients. We had Cornish and vegetarian pasties, and both were fantastic - large and filling, and great with or without the equally delicious gravy. Definitely also get a desert with your pasty, we had strawberry rhubarb tarts that were if anything even more amazing than the pasties! Staff are very friendly, and really helped brighten what had previously been something of a frustrating day. We also really appreciate how quickly our food was ready, and we are looking forward to eating at Bucket Bites again the next time we're in the area!

After passing by and wanting to try Bucket Bites many a time, we finally stopped - and then we had to go back 3 more times! We’ve never been disappointed. The food is flavorful, soul comfort food. Their pastry is always spectacularly baked, never a soggy bottom! I love that the flavors change frequently - there’s always something new to try! Not to mention; the folks who run the business seem like just good people. 5 stars, no question!

Fun find. We enjoy Pasties but they’re not common in the west. So exciting that we found not just pasties but absolutely delicious pasties here in Astoria. Super friendly staff. Super delicious pasties. We tried three flavors and each was great. We will return often.

Not many people can make a Cornish pastie as good as they do in Cornwall but these are spot on! The pastry was exactly how it should be & even the one with a Mexican twist was delicious. We were intrigued by the apple dumpling & our taste buds were in heaven Super friendly staff & there are options to sit inside or out. We shall definitely stop by this food truck again when we’re in the area!

Great food and friendly staff. We have been here multiple times and have never been disappointed. Try the chow chow. The roast beef gravy is to die for. We get the Slater. Apple dumpling. My mouth is actively watering as I write this. Definitely try this place if you have not.

This is the house that dough and gravy built! Don't be deterred by their small marketing budget, these babies speak for themselves. With love of the game, these warm, stuffed, stick-to-your-ribs, balls of comfort, will delight your taste buds and fill your belly. The gravy is mandatory, but in this reviewers opinion, it's more of an Au Jus. But whether you french dip, free pour, or sip it like a beafy cocktail, you're going to thank me for the tip. I openly admit, I was slow getting around to this review and for that I apologize, some of the details fade, but the energetic and dedicated folks in the kitchen stick out in my mind. They have a passion that I'll remember to come back for. As far as the menu composition, they've got savory, they've got sweet, they've got limited time items, and they've got my vote! If you visit, be sure to try the BBQ pasties, the Whoopie pie, and the Apple Dumpling. You're welcome. Also, check out my photos for a look at the full menu at the time of my visit and be sure to check out the shots of everything we tried.

I had never had a "paste-y" before so I was intrigued going into this experiment. I admit, I went to this location with my heart set on the neighboring taco truck but, since they were closed, I took the opportunity to try the pasties. I had the Slater. The woman serving me was bright, bubbly, and friendly. She took the time to explain the pasties to me and help with my selection. The Slater was not as cheesy as I had expected and was a bit lacking in season but the crust was tasty. I enjoyed my meal and would try this place again.

For 2 years now, Bucket Bites has been one of my go-to spots. Their food is ALWAYS delicious, Chris and Christine and the most lovely people in the world, and I can honestly say I've tried just about every flavor of pasty and whoopie pie Christine whips up because they're all worth trying. I love them so much that I even make the drive from Beaverton to Astoria as often as possible JUST for them... I don't go because it's convenient or on the way, I go because it's THAT GOOD. If you've never had a pasty, go check them out. If you've had one, trust me when I say you haven't had one like Bucket Bites. If you hate pasties, you've never had one from Bucket Bites.
